Leveling Up in Property Investment: What We Learned from “Thrive in 2025” with Steve Goodey

On Sunday, March 30, Crestine and I had the opportunity to attend the “Thrive in 2025: The Roadmap to Property Success” seminar in Auckland, hosted by none other than Steve Goodey and his expert guests. From 8:45 AM to 5:30 PM, it was a full day packed with insights, strategies, and networking with like-minded individuals all eager to grow in the property investment space.

We attended this event not just for our own learning journey but also with our community in mind—especially as we prepare for our upcoming Prosper Faster Summit in May right here in Auckland, and a possible Christchurch event in the near future.

Our goal? To continue building a movement where fellow Filipinos and other Kiwis can confidently navigate the world of property investing.

Surrounding Yourself with Growth-Oriented People

One of the biggest takeaways from the day was the power of being in a room full of people with the same growth mindset. Everyone there was hungry to learn, to improve, and to take action. There’s a special kind of energy that comes from being around people on the same journey—and it’s contagious. It makes self-growth feel not just possible, but inevitable.

Learning from the Best and Connecting with Trusted Experts

We also met business owners and service providers whose services are already being used by some of the most trusted names in the industry. Whether it’s mortgage lenders, insurance advisors, accountants, property lawyers, or asset planners, it became even clearer how important it is to surround yourself with trustworthy professionals. In this industry, who you work with truly matters.

The discussions touched on:

  • Mindset shifts needed to succeed in property
  • How taxation, yields, capitalisation rates, and trusts work
  • Understanding when it’s a buyer’s market vs a seller’s market
  • Protecting your assets through the right legal and financial planning

It was a reminder that while property investing seems complex, the right guidance can make it more accessible—and less overwhelming.

Making It Relevant to Our Culture and Community

As Filipino-Kiwis, we also saw the importance of making these conversations more relatable and easy to understand for our own community. By finding and working with experts who speak our language—literally and culturally—we can help more people grasp the principles of property investment and take action confidently.

Take Action—Knowledge Alone Isn’t Enough

At the end of the day, no matter how many seminars or webinars we attend, what truly matters is taking action. Every speaker emphasized this point: success doesn’t come to those who wait, it comes to those who act.

We’re inspired and motivated to keep learning and sharing—and we invite you to join us in this journey at our Prosper Faster Summit in Auckland this May. Let’s create a future where more of us have access to wealth-building tools and a supportive community to help us get there.

Stay tuned for more details, and we hope to see you there!
