But by the end of it, I started to notice something. My clothes felt tighter.
It wasn’t until Christmas lunch when my relative brought out the weighing scale that reality hit. I stepped on, expecting my usual 52 kgs, and nearly fell off when I saw 57 kgs. At first, I thought the scale was broken, but a quick check at work confirmed it: I was up to 58 kgs.
“Don’t worry, you’re not fat!” everyone said. And while I’m grateful for their kindness, this wasn’t about “being fat.” It was about feeling off track with my health. If I didn’t act now, I knew this weight gain could spiral.
