Last month, I lost a close friend to cancer — she was only 42 years old.
That news hit me hard. I kept thinking about her family, her dreams, and how suddenly everything changed.
At work as a nurse, I meet kababayans who’ve just been diagnosed with cancer.

I won’t lie, I have fears too. My grandmother passed away from cancer. I actually became a nurse because I looked after her in the hospital.
